More Than Just a Living in a Dorm, It’s a Home Away From Home.
Living on campus can add up. On average, Residential Advisors (RAs) save nearly $5,000 a semester on room and board. And that’s with four roommates instead of one (The price goes up for a double). As an RA, students receive free room and board, in a single room, with no roommates. Add on a $200 textbook stipend and a free mini fridge, for good measure, and students will be hard pressed to find a better deal on campus.
More Than Just Having a Job, It’s the Starting Blocks for a Career.
During a student’s time as an RA they’ll develop a wide variety of professional skills to lean back on for a successful career after graduating. RAs have the opportunity to positively impact their living environment, aid in student growth, and affect others in a positive, and often life changing way. As a member of the RHA, Resident Hall Association, RAs will cultivate strong leadership skills, as well as the interpersonal skills needed to be a valued team member. Being an RA gives a student a jumpstart to a promising career.
